BREAKING CONSOLE NEWS

So Sony are trying to outdo their closest opponents Microsoft by giving a press release for their latest console at least a month before their rivals with the announcement planned for the end of February. Speculation is rife on forums and websites alike with what Sony are actually planning for the 'PlayStation 4'. One of the biggest rumours is that they are ditching the classic DualShock controller however this does seem quite unlikely.

Some things that have been suggested are that the controller will actually still be a DualShock only with a PSVita style touch pad instead of the PlayStation button in the middle of the pad.

Two CPU's are still on the cards for the next generation console but will it be enough to compete with Microsoft and XBOX or will it be an early release gone wrong?

Microsoft have been pretty cagey and aren't giving much away at the moment, could this be because they want it to be a huge announcement or could it be because they really haven't got much to shout about, one thing is for sure we will all find out very soon.

Keep it here for any updates as they happen.
