Well I really dont know how they do it but FIFA have done it once again by bringing out what looks like is going to be a truly brilliant sports game for this gaming season. After just playing the demo I can honestly say that I am really looking forward to this at the end of the month. Its packed full of new features such as follows:
- Impact Engine Version 2: Players reactions are more true to life from the largest defender to the quickest striker they both react differently to challenges and tackles and much more accurately than in Fifa 12.
- Player Control Engine Improvements: This is really something brilliant, players with a higher skill level have a greater control of the ball whereas players with a lesser skill level do not, and it really shows within the match compared to last year when near enough every player had the same control level.
- Commentary Improvements: The commentators sound even better in this game with the addition of a touchline commentator when a player is injured and it even displays on the screen what player is being spoken about rather than you having to guess when a commentator says 'he's not having a good game today Clive is he?'.
-Mini Games: I was really pleased to see these added in, challenges to help you get better at the game as you learn, dribbling, shooting, defending etc it's all in these mini games that can be accessed from the main menu or before the start of each match, you are rewarded with points and unlock new challenges as you proceed.
- Ultimate Team Season Mode: Yes you read right Ultimate Team is to get its own season mode although the infomation around it all is still a bit hazy but even so it promises to be great, what could be better than creating your own team from scratch and making your way through a unique season.
So there you go some of the brilliant features included in what I think will easily be one of the most popular games this season, there is only one downside that I have noticed on the Demo version and that is that the transfers have not been completed, Van Persie and Alex Song are still at Arsenal and De Jong is still at Manchester City, hopefully these will be corrected before the full release which is at the end of this month. Keep it here for a full review when the full game is released.
