XBOX One Update

So recently I seem to have been the only person out of my friends who has taken a step back from the next - gen hype and thought hold on what about us guys that are going to be left behind in the current generation until we decide to get a new console?

Well the good news is that the Xbox 360 will be supported and be issued new games by Microsoft for the next 5 years until it is then gradually phased out.

HOWEVER! Recently I thought about the fact that Xbox One users might not be able to speak to Xbox 360 users as a few of my friends are getting the new console and I am not until the price drops next year.

So I tweeted @XboxSupport the official support Twitter account for any Xbox related issues and this was the outcome:

As you it will not be possible for Xbox One users to speak to Xbox 360 users over Xbox Live, I'm not quite sure why because surely we are all using the same service however for some reason we will not be able to talk to our friends cross - platform.

Just something I thought I would make you aware of if you were thinking of getting the console.
